Our good friend and colleague, Dr. Jeff Lackney is currently engaged in an authentic Service Learning project. This new health related project will be a yearlong series of activities that is designed to restore Jeff back to robust good health. Jeff recently discovered that he has a cholangiocarcinoma, which is a glorified way of saying that he has cancer in the bile duct area of his liver. This being a Service Learning project, Jeff has assembled a well qualified team of medical, spiritual, and good friends Community Partners who will be integral to achieving the goals of the project, in which Jeff will become advanced in the restoration of his good health. As with any authentic Service Learning Project, upon its successful completion there will be a reporting out/celebration, or in this case, a big party!
Being a great and true educator, Dr. Lackney has addressed the "Service" component of the project by creating a website so his "students" can learn by his example how to overcome disease with integrity, grace, humor, and determination. Visit Jeff's website at: http://schoolstudio.typepad.com/health_and_wellness/
Get well quickly, brother. We are all here for you and yours.
This is a very informative site, I like the fact that it's not limited on health learning.

Thanks for the information as always. I agree with martin, it's not limited to health learning, it's pretty broad. Keep up the good work!
